Selling: How it works
ACCOUNT SET-UP CHECKLIST
Missed out on the onboarding walk-through? Not to worry, here's a handy dandy checklist to make sure you're all set.
1. Complete Onboarding
How to Find This Page:
When you log-in this is the default page. If it isn't, click on the person icon in the upper-right corner.
Listing for the First Time:
When you list items for sale for the first time, click on the pink button, "Create Listings".
A pop-up comes up asking you to set your shipping fee. You must fill this out before your seller profile is visible.
Complete Your Seller Profile:
Click on the black button, "Complete Profile" to upload a picture, fill-out your display name, and write a few words about yourself (helps build trust with buyers). You can also link to your Instagram profile by writing your username (without the '@').
2. Dashboard - My Account
Addresses & Payments:
It's helpful to have your shipping address already inputted so that it's easier to buy a shipping label when your items sell.
My Balance / Payout Info:
Glou uses Stripe to process payment and payouts. Add your direct deposit information, so you can get paid! You can also use your earnings to shop Glou.
ORDER FULFILLMENT | SHIPPING
Yay! You've made a sale! Now what?
Open order details:
Double check all items sold in your order details. (The order preview only shows the first three items.)
Carefully pack all items:
When you list items for sale for the first time, click on the pink button, "Create Listings".
A pop-up comes up asking you to set your shipping fee. You must fill this out before your seller profile is visible.
2. Buy Postage
Purchase label from Glou:
You will need your package weight, height, length, width to see your postage options.
You will be given a selection of shipping options with the prices. This amount will be deducted from your account.
* Make sure that you have already completed Step 2 of Account Set-Up
Purchase postage on your own:
You are not required to purchase your label via Glou, and are welcome to purchase postage from wherever you feel comfortable. Please note that you are still expected to ship your package out within 2 business-days and update your order status to "Shipped" within that time so the buyer can be on the look out for their incoming package.
3. Mark As Shipped
Pop package in the post!
Don't forget to let your buyer that their package is on the way by clicking the "Mark As Shipped" button on your order.
Tracking information is not required, but always appreciated! This is automatically updated if you purchase a label from Glou.
