TECHSTARS DETROIT POWERED BY J.P. MORGAN SELECTS GLOU BEAUTY TO HIGH-POWERED ACCELERATOR PROGRAM

Techstars and J.P. Morgan's commitment to supporting inclusive accelerators create opportunities for Glou Beauty and 11 other diverse, early-stage companies.

Glou Beautythe AI-powered beauty marketplace, today announced it has been selected as one of the 12 startups joining Techstars Detroit Powered by J.P. Morgan’s Spring 2023 class. Detroit is part of the 9-city initiative J.P. Morgan invested $80 million in to create opportunities for wealth creation among a diversified range of founders, often constrained by institutional, structural, and systemic barriers. 

Techstars noted in their news announcement that, “The process is highly competitive with an open application of hundreds of companies. These twelve companies stood out among their peers for their extraordinary ability to execute quickly, undeniable grit, deep empathy for their customers, and much more.” 

Lee continues: “I feel honored to be part of this cohort of 12 diverse, early-stage companies. This program’s ecosystem approach will help Glou Beauty accelerate its development pipeline, as well as provide us with valuable support in fundraising, mentorship, business development, talent acquisition, and more. "

“The recent CNN report: ‘The $500 billion beauty industry's 'green' ambitions are a patchwork at best. And they're falling short’ validates Glou Beauty’s  vision to lead sustainability in the beauty industry’s ecosystem and make meaningful climate-conscious change,” said Lee.
